My son had a great time, he loved the chaperones, said they were fun and easy to talk to. The bus ride was long because of weather issues but he still didn't complain much...and I truly believe the company worked its best to make sure the kids were safely transported back and forth. Issues arise and they were handled appropriately.
My only complaint was that there was an issue with the winter storm that caused the kids to stay an extra night (great decision) and we were told we'd be given an update on this by the evening before they were originally supposed to leave....the update didn't come til the following day and that raised stress levels for most parents who expected an update when they were told they'd get one. So, my only suggestion is while communication was good otherwise, if an issue arises and you tell parents you will send an update at a certain time, send the update...even if it means that you still need extra time to work out all the changes in plans. I'm sure there was a lot of coordination necessary to change the date of the return trip and keeping parents in the loop, even when you don't have a final answer, is probably best.
Thank you for a great trip and some lifelong memories for these HS kids!
